TTPOA AND HARRIS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE in association with FULCRUM TACTICAL is proud to announce a five day TACTICAL OPERATIONS INSTRUCTOR course. 

Steve Claggett, is a 25 year veteran of the Dallas Police Department with 15 years in SWAT and 6 years in the Narcotics division.  He served as Entry Team Member, Assistant Team Leader and Team Leader with specialties in High/ Climbing and Explosive Breaching.  Steve served as Senior Instructor for Triple Canopy and Combat Shooting and Tactics, LLC, before starting his own company Tactical Skills and Strategies. 

 

Steve currently serves as Director of Training for Fulcrum Tactical, a law enforcement charity specializing in supporting tactical training through public donations.     

 
Course Topics:
The curriculum is designed as an instructor level course focused on core tactical skills incorporated in SWAT, Narcotics and Fugitive/ Detective units.  Students will be instructed in a wide variety of tactical options as well as instructor methodology, safety protocols, and objectives driven course development.

Students will be required to present blocks of instruction and take periodic exams throughout the week.

  • Tactical Weapons Skills
  • Dynamic Entry
  • Vehicle Assaults
  • Stealth Movements to Contact
  • Aggressive Shooter Response
  • Small Team Skills (2-4 person)
  • Breaching (structures and vehicles)
  • Emergency Action Drills
  • Contact and Control Techniques
  • Training Methodology
  • Course Development

 

Training Location: Harris County Sheriff's Office Firearms Complex,  2350 Atascocita Rd , Humble TX 77396

**Turn left at the Academy Buliding, follow the road to the range located on the left side of the road.**

Class will start at 0800hrs.

 
Prerequisites
   

Due to the sensitive material covered in this course, all students must be either Active/Reserve Military or Law enforcement certified.  Students will be asked show proof of credentials on the first day of the course.

 

 
Required Equipment
 
  •  All common tactical equipment
  •  Ballistic Vest
  •  Handgun and/or Long gun
  •  Eye and ear protection
  •  Marking pistol/rifle or both
  •  Paintball mask or equivalent face shields and force-on-force protective gear
  •  400 rounds long gun, 100 rounds handgun, 100 marking rounds
