Officer Survival Course

Course Details:
The Officer Survival Course is an intense 3 day course focusing on high risk situations that Police Officers may encounter both on and off-duty.    The course is designed to have minimal class room time with a focus on range activities with hands on training.  Most of the course is focused on duty situations but there is a portion dedicated to off-duty situations where Officers may have an encounter.  The Student will shoot a variety of live fire courses which have been created from job related high risk situations.  Students successfully completing this course will recieve 24 hours of tcleose credit.

Self Aid

Patrol Officer Counter-ambush

Two- Man clearing

Ground fighting

Shooting into vehicles

Shooting from Patrol Unit

Officer Involved Shootings- After Action Reviews

Prerequisites

Caution!! This course is going to be physically demanding!!! Make sure you come prepared.

The course will run about 8-10 hours a day and will require long periods of standing, sprint runs, ground fighting, and lots of shooting. 

Due to the sensitive material covered in this course, all students must be either Active/Reserve Military or Law enforcement certified.  Students will be asked show proof of credentials on the first day of the course.

 
Required Equipment

Vest

Duty rifle and pistol with at least two magazines each

Minimum 500 pistol and 500 rifle rounds

Duty rig with holster

Off duty pistol and off duty holster with 100 pistol rounds with two magazines

Simunition pistol

50 simunition rounds

Ear and eye protection
