Course Description:

2 Day Performance Pistol for Law Enforcement 

This course is designed to enhance the shooting skills for all law enforcement officers in the use of a duty pistol. We will explore principle-based methods and techniques to help shooters perform their hard skills faster and more accurately. Topics covered in this course include weapon manipulation skills, aiming/engagement strategies, shooting on the move, and engaging multiple targets. This course will heavily focus on the proper application of the fundamentals of marksmanship at speed. We will move away from the static line drills and push into aggressive movement drills on the second day. These skills will be tested and evaluated with practical assessment drills shot on demand utilizing hit factor scoring. These drills will be scored and recorded for class ranking.

800 Rounds Ammunition 

- Eye/Ear Protection for Range

- Hydration, Hat, Inclement Weather 

Range Requirements:

25 Yards, Target stands for each shooter capable of moving on the range. Barriers or Barrels able to move on the range. 

8 Students Minimum, registered 3 weeks prior to class/ Maximum of 16 Students. 

An Assistant Instructor (AI) will be brought if more than 12 shooters.

We are a group of current and active Full-time SWAT Team Members from a large Southern California Law Enforcement Agency dedicated to training law enforcement personnel in firearms and tactics across the United States as our primary function.

 

Gabe Rivera (Owner/Primary Instructor)

Active Law Enforcement Officer with 17 years of experience. Currently assigned full-time to a large and active Southern California SWAT team. He has been assigned to SWAT for 13+ years and his assignments have included the following; Current Team Leader (TL), Assistant Team Leader (ATL), Sniper Operations, Joint Hazardous Assessment Team (JHAT-CBRNE), Maritime Operations, Rappel Master, Aerial Platform Operations, US Marshals Task Force Officer, and Primary Firearms & Tactics Instructor.

Holds Instructor Certifications from the following Organizations; CA POST, FLETC, FBI, NTOA, NRA Law Enforcement, Sig Sauer Academy, Centrifuge Training, Tactical Performance Center (TPC), LeadFaucet Tactical, Rangemaster Firearms Training Services, Singleton International, Center Mass Training Institute, Sage Dynamics, Surefire Institute, and Ultimate Training Munitions (UTM). 

Department Lead Instructor for the following topics; Active Shooter Response, MACTAC, Red Dot Pistol, Patrol Rifle, Basic SWAT School, Patrol Entries, Sub-Machine Gun, Close-Quarters Battle (CQB), Vehicle Tactics, and Force on Force. He is also an Assistant Instructor for Dan Brokos of LeadFaucet Tactical. He competes in the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) and is classified as Master in Carry Optics Division.
