Advance Patrol Tactics is a course designed for the street level patrol officer to enhance his knowledge base, improve on established foundations of tactics, and expose him to tested methods in order to increase his survivability in dynamic environments.

Advanced Patrol Tactics

With today’s increasing threats against Law Enforcement, it’s paramount Officers receive the necessary training to handle any situation that arises. This reality based force on force course, Advanced Patrol Tactics is tailored for Patrol Officers to be able to deploy advanced tactics in various high stress situations that may be encountered in a patrol environment.

Learning objectives covered in Advanced Patrol Tactics will be traffic stops and proper vehicle engagement tactics, understanding the contact/cover rule and how to properly apply it, deadly force situations and completing the objective in a safe an efficient manner while keeping laws, policies and procedures in mind. Additional topics include Basic tactical trauma care, basic low light, applying basic 2–3 man building search and room clearing techniques, rescuing a downed officer and applying self-aide/buddy aide, developing and deploying a Quick Reaction Detail (first 2-3 responding officers) to eliminate an eminent threat (active shooter, terrorist, etc…), and understanding the history of training standards in the law enforcement community.

Prerequisites

Licensed sworn law enforcement officer/agent with arrest authority in the prevention, detection, apprehension, detention and/or investigation of felony and/or misdemeanor violations of federal, state, local, or military criminal laws. Be able to participate in intensive training lasting up to 10 hours per day and not have any medical restrictions.

Required Training Materials

Duty gear, Writing material, Camelback or other means of hydration, Appropriate wear (BDU, agency t-shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve), boots, etc.)

$300 member/$325 non-member
