Course overview  This 16 hour class will develop real gun fighting skills that will enhance the survival abilities of students.  Students will develop speed and accuracy and

the means to counter armed threats.

Instructional Aids:           Power point and classroom/range 60 foot tower, Barricades, Hostile steel targets, “0”course, vehicles, Hide building

Training material:            Safety bag, Shot timer, TQ-15 targets, stapler, standards sheet

Student Material:            AR-15 weapon platform, 3 magazines, pistol and 3 magazines, sling, holster, eye and ear pro, all weather clothing, 1600 rounds rifle ammunition, 300 rounds pistol ammunition, Hat, tools to support weapon systems, spare everything if you have it.

Prerequisite experiences of student:  Basic firearms class

Goals:                                   To enhance the ability of shooters in speed, accuracy and safe weapons handling

Terminal performance objectives

                                                To advance through skills drills and situational performance the ability of shooters to successfully engage targets that are both stationary and dynamic.  To properly identify targets, shoot from cover, move in and around vehicles.  To use proper trigger control and reset, second sight picture, and always do a threat check on the 360.
