COURSE DETAILS: this course will build on shooting fundamentals, advanced techniques for the law enforcement sniper,  and special situations     


COURSE TOPICS: gear selection, Ballistics, roll over prone, Positional shooting, special situations, Barriers, covert deployment, urban hides, camouflage and concealment, long range day 


PREREQUISITES:  Certified Law Enforcement or active duty military personnel, in good standing with their agency. Students must be able to provide agency ID at the beginning of the course. 

Prerequisites require a basic police sniper course and active LE current deployment as sniper.


Sniper rifle w 400 rounds of match grade ammo, Scope, Bipod, Sand sock/ rear bag, Sling, Spotting scope, Tripod with attachment for rifle (we will be shooting utilizing tripods frequently), , Weapon mounted laser if issued, Call out backpack/ruck, Hearing protection, Note book with pen and pencil, Calculator, Cell phone with the Hornady 4DOF app,  Seasonal clothing, Rifle cleaning kit, Cleaning kit for optics, *For optimal training value bring gear used during a call out.



Sgt Mike Saxion (Tyler Pd) has been with the Tyler Police Department since 1995. He has been on the SWAT Team for 23 years. Sgt. Saxion is currently the Sniper Team Leader on the SWAT Team. He is the firearms coordinators and tactics training sergeant for the department. 

Sgt. Drew Allison (Longview PD) has been with the Longiew Police Department since 2006. He was selected for the SWAT Team in 2008 and was soon assigned as assistant team leader and sniper. He has taught numerous firearms and tactics related classes.

Registration must be completed on-line 

Payment should be made to TTPOA. Credit card payment is strongly recommended.

All fees are due by May 31, 2019. There will be no refunds or course credit for cancellations after that date.

The fee for the course is $500.00 for TTPOA members and $550.00 for non-members.
