This course will cover basic precision shooting, covering everything from cleaning to engaging movers to 600 yards. We will shoot off our 60 foot elevated platform allows shooting straight down to 1400 yards. The “hide” building is two stories tall with all manner of shooting ports. Our goad is to train you for the high risk, low frequency event, those events that you haven’t been exposed to at other facilities. COST $600.00 Lodging: $ 25.00 a night

Level I Precision Rifle will be taught by T.J. Pilling, owner of Tiger Valley.  T.J. Pilling has 24 year experience as a Precision Marksman.  Tiger Valley has been open for 13 years with relationships with many in the contractor community.  

 Tiger Valley is a State Department approved training facility, that hosts one of the largest KD and UKD ranges in the south western USA.  The KD range has 27 positions which allows both stationary and moving targets and the UKD allow shots to 1400 yards. This facility allows realistic instruction in all facets of long range shooting as well as 9 tactical bays for CQB work




Delivering accurate shots safely, shooting from elevated positions, shooting from hide building, Reading the wind, use of barricade, hostage shots, data to 600 yards, qualification on both FBI and State Department qualification course, Stationary movers stop and goes and bobbers, effects of weather, use of barricades, mil hold over shooting, data book, Out of position shooting, ballistics, Kims games, formulas for the wind, Mil/MOA conversions, Angled shooting, sectorization exercise, hide building, history and theory, Cold bore theory, Aiming and trigger control, cleaning weapons, out of position shooting,


All students are required to be current or active duty military and be of good standing with their departments.  All who attend should have a fundamental knowledge of their weapon systems.

Required Gear

Precision rifle with scope with external “match” turrets and some type of Mil reticule, sling, 500 rounds match grade ammunition, eye and ear pro, rain gear, camouflage clothing “at least one set”, rain gear, snacks and water, sun screen and bug repellant
