This course will cover everything from basic to intermediate rappel. It is set for the two days prior to the suicidal jumper rescue and it is encouraged to attend both classes if possible.

The TTPOA cadre will be teaching a 16hr Basic/Intermediate Rappel Course to start on December 9th at the Frisco Fire Station #9, located at 15151 Donnie Mayfield Way, Frisco, Texas 75035. This course will begin at 0800.  

 

This course will cover knot tying, anchor point choice, rope setup, shared anchor points, team, drops, window coverage, window entries, ascending, self rescue and equipment choices.

 

If you are new to rappel, starting a rappel program, or need intermediate training this class is what you need. 

 

If you need any of the below listed gear, please reach out to the coordinator. There is a limited supply available.

 

Equipment List:

 

All Tactical Gear

BDU style Uniform

Helmet 

Gloves

Rappel Seat / Harness

3 Carabiners (Auto Lock or Screw Gate)

Descending Device (Rescue 8, GriGri, Petzl Stop, etc)

20ft of 7mm or 8mm Cordage

Water/ Snacks

 

Cost: $200

 

Payment Instructions:

 

The fee for the course is $200. All fees are due by December 4, 2019 and there will be no refunds for cancellations after this date. Class size is limited and all registrations should be completed online. We recommend all payments be completed online during registration.
