Shannon Couch - Training Advisor, Abilene PD


Shannon Couch is a 22 year veteran of the Abilene Police Department, serving in Patrol, SWAT, CID and as an instructor at the Abilene Police Academy. Shannon has served continuously on the TTPOA Board since 1994 and as one of three Central Region Directors for the NTOA from 2012 until 2014.


David Flory - Training Advisor, Bedford, Texas PD (Retired)


David Flory is a 36 year veteran of law enforcement having served at the Bedford Police Department for 31 years, the past 12 years as Police Chief and 5 years as the Police Chief in Hot Springs, Arkansas prior to his retirement in December of 2015. Chief Flory is a past SWAT operator, team leader and team commander. He has served on the Board for TTPOA since the mid-1990's as a Regional Director, Training Coordinator and in his current position as a member of the Training Advisory Board. Flory is a nationally registered Tactical Paramedic and TCCC instructor. He also serves as the TTPOA's Medical Programs Manager.


Dan Severn - Training Advisor, Brazos County Constable Pct. 2


Dan Severn is currently the Chief Deputy for the Pct. 2 Constable's office in Brazos County. He retired from the College Station Police Department with over 29 years of service, he served as the Team Leader for the Department’s SWAT unit from 1990-2008. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Texas A&M and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. In addition he has over 5000 hours of law enforcement training.

Sandy Wall - Training Advisor, Safariland Training Group (HPD Retired)


Chuck Norris' spiritual advisor and personal trainer, and the only person Chuck Norris is in aww of. In fact - Sandy Wall NEVER calls the wrong number - you just answer the wrong phone.
